Posts that Go Unpublished

Looking at Draft/Unpublished Posts

For my fellow bloggers out there, I’m sure this is something that you deal with too. I have as of tonight 34 draft posts that have been started and either not finished or not published.

Sometimes I’m certain that something that I write is going to be taken the wrong way. Other times, I feel like I need to check my self at the door and question the reason for the post. Tonight, I spent a good 30 minutes on a post that ultimately got surrendered to the draft bin.

Here are the titles of a few of them:

  • We Shine
  • Fish in a Tank
  • Manufacturing Energy
  • Living with a Head Cold
  • Win, Train, Send
  • Return to Sender
  • Let’s Talk about Boundaries
  • Raging Fire
  • Focus
  • Dangerous Calling Review (This is one I actually want to post, but will make some edits first)
  • Dallas Seminary in iTunesU
  • Sight Reading
  • Personal Sabbath
  • God of this City
  • Let’s Talk about Nosehairs
  • What have you accomplished in the past 466 days
  • Sunday Night Reflections
  • Shuttle Evacuation
  • Newsflash: I’m Not Your Demographic

What should I do with them? Should I just delete them? Should I be bothered by the draft category?

Please note: I reserve the right to delete comments that are offensive or off-topic.

  1. Andy, I rarely delete a draft. And I’m right there with you, quite a few that I started and either haven’t finished or published yet. Something I’ve noticed for me is that when I go back and review them periodically I find thoughts and ideas to use on new posts that do end up getting published.
