Sneak Peek of the New

I’ve been working on this for a couple months now and, it looks like all I need to do is get the content nailed down before this puppy is able to go live. I’m looking forward to getting the site moved over to WordPress. It is gonna be sweet. Believe it or not, it is a huge step from the current site, and will leave room for growth. (Not to mention giving non-web folks the chance to update it… Woot!)

Now if only I could get some folks to own some of the content.  Content is Critical.  A LOT needs to be updated over the next few months. Web sites are never done. Hint Hint Nudge Nudge.

    • I didn’t like the rounded corners. eh… I may revert it back

Thanks for commenting Stephen. Funny that it took a non-church member to give me feedback 😉

  1. Andy,

I really think this is a step into excellence. The site is inviting and makes me want to go deeper. I really like the top screen shot with our people instead of stock photos of strangers.

I also like the overlapping of the info area over the background of brown.

  2. Looks good. The issue I always had (and have with other church websites) is
    1) Who are you
    2) Where are you
    3) When do you meet
    4) What can I expect (dress, children, etc)
    5) What do you believe

I am assuming the site will be for people who don’t know much about the church so think through those eyes. One of the great things about the church Awana – so I would highlight that – maybe have scrolling photos on the front page.

Things I would think people would want to know in addition to the church itself
    1) AWANA
    2) Norcross Christian Academy
    3) Preschool
    4) Afterschool care
    5) Sports

(these are in no particular order).

Think about how people will land or use the page (if it’s sports – then a friend would say – “Go to to register for sports” or the same for afterschool, academy, etc). Pictures, pictures, pictures, and answer questions.
