You’re Not Actually Going to Print Your Own Christmas Cards… Are You?

One of the things that we used to do was print our own Christmas cards. It was such a process. First of all it involved the preparation of the cards. Getting everything sized just right to maximize the number of cards per piece of paper. Second, we’d have to do trial and error to make sure that the fronts and the writing on the back lined up appropriately. Then we’d have to make sure that the paper was kept in order so that doing double sided didn’t get screwed up. On top of all that, we’d have to make sure that the ink on one side dried completely so it wouldn’t smear or smudge anywhere.

And Chances are somewhere in there, I’d have to run to the office supply store because I needed to get some more light magenta ink.

No More. There are lots of online services that will print basic pictures, and the one that we’ve come to like a lot is shutterfly. We recently ordered some 8×8 bound picture books.  We were extremely pleased with them. Looks like we’ll be ordering some Photo Christmas Cards from them this year, but they also have other holiday cards and of course items like calendarspersonalized mugs and much more.

The nice thing is that it is a really easy service to use. You can upload your photos very easily and manipulate them within the web application to make a very nice end product that can be used in multiple ways on multiple mediums.

So… You’re Not Actually Going to Print Your Own Christmas Cards… Are You?
