Bible in 90 Days | Psalms 70 – 89: Day 43

Got a day behind again. Got a whole lot going on these days at work.  I’ll see if I can catch up later this week or next. Here’s day number 43.

Doh… just realized that last couple posts I labeled the book “Psalms.” Is the plural ok in this case? Is Psalms the plural for Psalm?

Just curious… is anyone reading these? Leave me a comment if you find anything worth while.

Psalm 70

O Lord. Do not Delay!

Psalm 71

What a great chapter for me in general right now! Be my refuge and let me continually come to you. Do not forsake me when my strength is spent. (Right now, my strength IS spent. I need refuge and a restrengthening right now.)

Psalm 72

Here’s a good chapter/prayer for our view of our politicians. While I don’t always agree with this platform… God, please give our leaders Your Justice. Let them judge righteously and defend the cause of the poor. Let us pray for them continually.

Psalm 73

God is my strength and my portion. (I’ve been pondering the word portion lately. We abuse portions so much now with physical needs and wants… do we do the same with our portion of God?) Who or what do I desire but God. On heaven and earth he is all we need. He should be the strength and the portion of our heart.

It is good for us to be near God so that we may see and experience his works.

Psalm 74

Rise up, God! and put to shame those who mock you.

Psalm 75

The wicked will drain the dregs of his cup! Wow.

Psalm 76

Who can stand before you, God? Man! When God’s anger is roused… who really can stand before it?

Whoa… What about this verse: Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.

Psalm 77

When I remember God… I moan. Ouch. That seems relevant. It seems like there are times that I am going through life and realize that I’m just doing it without Him… but then I realize and remember him and I ache that I didn’t give him the praise or trust in the situation.

In all days, we should seek Him.

Psalm 78

Pass on all that God has done. Teach the future generations what the past generations experienced.

Psalm 79

Save us for your name’s sake God.

Psalm 80

Restore us, O God. Restore us, O God. Restore us, O God.

Psalm 81

Strive to listen to God. Don’t forget and close your ear to His instruction.

Psalm 82

Arise, O God and judge the earth.

Psalm 83

Prayers that God would not stay quiet on the earth.

Psalm 84

I need to realize that a day in the courts of God is better than a thousand days elsewhere.

Psalm 85

Restore us, O God. Revive us, O God.

Psalm 86

God’s love is steadfast and delivers us from our sin and from destruction.

Psalm 87

Glorious things about God are spoken

Psalm 88

Do you cry out to God in despair? I don’t do that enough.

Psalm 89

God’s love of old is the same as it is today. It is steadfast and forever. Everything is His. Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of His throne.
