Bible in 90 Days | Proverbs 21 – 31: Day 48

Continuing Proverbs today. Again doubling up today to try to get back on track.

Yes I cheated by not including first few chapters of Ecclesiastes today. Figured I could end here and start it tomorrow.

I’m reading the Bible through in 90 days. Join me. Click here for more information on the ESV Bible in 90 day plan that I am doing.

Proverbs 21

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Whoever pursues rightousness and honor will find LIFE, righteousness and honor.

Proverbs 22

A good name is better than riches. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Borrower is slave to the lender. Do not move the ancient landmark that your fathers have set. <– Interesting. How does that apply to us today.

Proverbs 23

Let not your heart envy sinners. Continue in the fear of the Lord all the day.

Proverbs 24

Prepare for your work. Get everything ready for yourself, then build the house. <–resonates with me for some reason.

Proverbs 25

A man without self control is like a city broken into and left without walls.

Proverbs 26

As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly. Without gossip a quarrel dies down.

Proverbs 27

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you don’t know what today will bring. Know well the condition of your flocks and give attention to your herds.

Proverbs 28

Whoever confesses sins will find mercy. Whoever trusts in the Lord will prosper.

Proverbs 29

A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back <– I’m a fool too often.

Proverbs 30

Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

Proverbs 31

An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels <– I found one.
