Bible in 90… yeah right.

So I disappeared.

Bet you realized that.

I’m fairly disappointed with myself.

No excuses really. I dropped off the map.

I can’t believe that I made it through the Old Testament, basically on schedule, and went MIA.

I’d say that life got in the way, but I know better. Lazy got in the way more like it.

Work has been busy. Home has been busy. I know that at the time, I figured that I’d start back tomorrow. Then tomorrow becomes the next day. And then the next day. And then the next day. Then I figured I’d start on Monday.

Again. I’m angry.

The New Testament is the best part of the whole book. It introduces redemption and tells of what is still to come.

So… Here’s what I’m gonna do. I’m jumping back in Tomorrow. I’m publishing this post and then will spend the next hour reading and documenting my thoughts on the next few chapters of Matthew.

The cool thing, is that my YouVersion App offers the option to “Catch Me Up.” It shows me that I am on Day 72 and will start with Matthew 16. There are 18 days left in the month. There are 18 more days left of reading.

Let’s Do This!

If there isn’t a post tomorrow… I want one of you to hold me accountable and ask why.

  1. Don’t be too hard on yourself. If you had only done 10 days it would have been valuable. I dropped off at Jeremiah, though I do have a decent excuse. You know, the whole cancer thing. But seriously, don’t be a slave to the schedule and enjoy the next 18 days or more!

    • Thanks. You know, I think it was about the time that everything was happening to you that I lost track. Had nothing to do with you, BTW, but I have notes from when I was praying for you. Still do. Praying for you all.
