Yes. Look forward to your take on it. Fill out the online spreadsheet, and I'll divide it up this weekend. I think we'll start the first of June.

I'd like to join the Mad Church group. I'm not a pastor but I assist 4 of them plus a director. Creating margins...I refuse to check work email from home anymore. I'm starting to be firm on not taking work home with me anymore. So far everyone is supportive but we'll see what happens when the busy season hits. :)

Creating margin happens when you learn to say "no". It is hard for those who love serving in ministry to say it but not only will you keep your sanity, but the ministry will be better for it. Recently, my wife and I have to say "no" to a great opportunity to serve, but we knew that it wouldn't have our full attention that it needed. I try to think about this when I prioritize, "Am I doing this because I feel obligated?" Or, "am I doing this because this is what I am called to do and the true burning desire in my heart?" Our intentions can be good, but if it not something that burns within you and is part of your Divine calling, you would be better to just say no.

Some methods that i use to create margins in my life are to keep my non negotiable, well non negotiable. I try hard to create 4 areas in my life 1. Spiritual 2. Relational 3. Educational 4. Physical. in these 4 areas I have set up non-negotiables at least 3 for each area of my life. These help me to keep a standard and a way of balancing my crazy life with churh, school, wedding planning, and just life. so far with the help of my calendar it's been working great. So Remember keep the non-negotiables, non-negotiable.
