My 25 Random Things
First off I did not think that I would do this. I have been “tagged” by a bunch of my facebook friends to do this, and I am finally giving in. However, I chose to put it on my blog. Content is content, and I’d rather have it over here. I guess I’ll copy it over there, so that I can continue the tagging fun.
Rules:
Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.
- I am madly in love with my best friend. Gina and I met in middle school, dated in high school, and married after college. I can not imagine my life without her.
- I would do anything for my family. I hate it when I am away from them.
- While some may label me a workaholic, I see God’s design in my life. I have been fearfully and wonderfully made. I believe I was created to serve Him.
- I am a reality show junkie. Gina and I watch a lot of reality TV. Yes, I could probably use that time to do more productive tasks. I am normally working during this tv watching time.
- I love it when I come home from work and my daughters run to the door to greet me.
- I have SED. I’ve had it my whole life. It does not affect my daily activities. I am often made fun of because of this disorder, but I don’t let it bother me. I am willing to accept the fact that I will continue to have SED my whole life. Again, I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
- I am a big time NASA nerd. You will often find me reading up on current events that are happening in Space. I wish that I could go to space one day. I am such a geek in this that I enjoy reading transcripts of space flight. Did you know that NASA has transcripts of the Apollo missions online. You can read the conversation between the astronauts and ground control!
- I have sung a cappella for two US Presidents. Once in B Natural for Bush Sr, once in One Voice for Jimmy Carter.
- I have had glasses since the 2nd grade. I am near blind without them.
- I have snow skied once. In Sweden. I did not enjoy it. See number 9. My glasses kept fogging up, we eventually tried to ski without them. That was a horrible idea.
- I’ve been married for 10 and 1/2 years. Our first house was in Sugar Hill, Georgia. We lived there for almost 6 years before moving back to Norcross.
- I normally do not have to travel further than 5 miles from my house for anything. I work about 1 1/2 miles from home. All food options are within a 5 mile distance. Even my church is less than 5 miles away.
- I have been a member at 4 churches in my lifetime. North Peachtree Baptist, Buford First Baptist, North Metro Baptist, and now Norcross Baptist Church.
- I play no instruments, but am wanting to learn acoustic guitar. I am hoping that Nathan Lee is taking on students.
- I once got in trouble for hitting my brother, Chad with a whip-cream pie.
- I was accepted to Shorter College in Rome, Georgia, but ended up staying home and attending Dekalb College, and Georgia State University because of financial reasons.
- I have never had a drink of alcohol. No desire to in the future. Ditto on the smoking
- I thought WebVan was going to change grocery shopping as we know it. I wish it were back.
- I own half of a Play Station 2. Unfortunately, I don’t have custody of it at this time.
- I own four cats. They live downstairs. Clover, Lucky, Hermione, and Hagrid. They will out live me.
- Our current house was not for sale, when we made an offer on it. One of the perks of having a quality realtor.
- I enjoy a slurpee or icee on occasion – Frozen Mountain Dew…epic.
- We homeschool.
- I am constantly cracked up by my children. They are too smart for me.
- I’m Free. I have been Forgiven.
