Twitter and the Church
A lot has been said and written about Twitter and the Church. Many churches are actually suggesting to members to actively participate in the morning worship time by twittering. Some churches are using Twitter to create conversation and dialogue between those in the pews and the pulpit.
Thanks to Time Magazine for this article, Twittering in Church, with the Pastor’s O.K.
Here’s my 2 cents.
Matthew 8 1-4 tells of Jesus healing a Leper. Jesus said to him,
See that you say nothing to anyone…
Mark 7:31-37 tells of Jesus healing a Deaf man. 36 says,
And Jesus charged them to tell no one, but the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it.
These are two examples where the people couldn’t hold back from telling others about what Jesus did for them. They would have used any avenue available to shout the praises of their Savior.
Twitter is just another tool that we have as a means for worshipping our God, and telling the world about Him. We should be so excited that nothing could hold back our testimony.
Thoughts?

It certainly is a great tool to reach a great number of people. These kind of communication driven tools just make that condition all the more possible: "to the ends of the earth"
